Jemea Fembe Thailand Sunflower, one of Thailand's leading manufactures of cooking oil and food ingredients from palms, soybean, and sunflower seeds, was established on 24 June, 1980 by a group of chinese and Thai investors under the name of ThaiMax Industries Co., Ltd. It had received a promotion from the Board of Investment (BOI) in 1982. Later, the company's name was changed to Thailand Sunflower Oil Company Ltd. and was registered in the Stock Market of Thailand as a public company on 3 May, 1994.
Although the company's name has been changed, its determination in providing good quality products and services has never changed. The company still totally commits to the customer's need of quality control on every step of the manufacturing process. We also give a high importance to product containers, which must be clean and save. As a result, Thailand Sunflower Oil Company Ltd is the first cooking oil manufacturer in Thailand whose markets is cooking oil products in Polyethylene Terephthalate or PET plastic bottles, which is free from VCM, a carcinogen. At present, the Company employs the principles of Good Corporate Government, an organization management system which allows maximum growth, glory, and happiness. The system is focused on clear, reviewable working process, and returning profits to shareholder, employees, and the society. The 1986 International Asia Award for a High Standard Factory and Quality Control. The first company to be awarded the Outstanding Product Quality Award in 1988. The first vegetable oil manufacturer to be awarded by the "Shell Chuan Chim" by the well-know Thai food critic Mom Ratchavong Thanatsri Sawativat as an oil that provides high nutrition and fine flavor in cooking. The first palm oil to be awarded Halal certification by the Chularatchamontri, signifying has passed strict hygienic requirements and is approved for Thai Muslims' consumption.
